The DA62T generation debuted in 2001. Several improvements were made to the truck. A more comfortable and better-appointed interior. Better-finished interior door panels. More tear-resistant seats. The engine was replaced with the K6A, still a 600cc 3-cylinder fuel-injected engine, but this one uses a timing chain rather than a belt. Therefore, no maintenance is required at this level.
Despite the engine's location under the seats, the Carry DA62T has a hood. Under it, you'll find the brake fluid reservoir, the windshield washer fluid reservoir, and the coolant expansion tank. The automatic transmission is paired with a 4x4 system.
This truck is equipped with air conditioning and power steering. The engine is really quiet and surprisingly smooth for a 3-cylinder engine.
The Suzuki Carry's handling is fantastic. It's easy to back up, and the truck fits anywhere! Special mention should also be made of the turning radius, which is incredibly tight, despite the fact that this generation has a two-foot longer wheelbase than the DD51T.
Starting in January 2026, it will be roadworthy following an SAAQ inspection.
